Hybot H49 hydrogen energy production line upgraded and put into operation
Release Date:2026-07-28 14:00
On July 28, the commissioning ceremony for the upgraded and renovated Hybot H49 hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck production line was solemnly held at the Xinchufeng Manufacturing Base. Leaders from Zengdu District of Suizhou City, Hybot Chairman Huang Zhaoqin, CEO Sun Ying, Xinchufeng General Manager Zhang Jingfeng, as well as Wang Zhenglong, President of Wuhan Dongyan Wisdom—the project’s construction entity—and Vice President Su Gongqiang, among other guests, attended to witness this significant milestone.
Smart manufacturing upgrades drive dual improvements in production capacity and product quality.
Prior to the ceremony, the attendees toured the Xinchu Feng final‑assembly workshop, conducted an on-site inspection of the H49 hydrogen‑powered heavy‑truck production line’s upgrade and renovation, and gained insights into the development of its smart manufacturing system.
This renovation is being carried out comprehensively across three key areas: intelligence, automation, and quality. New sub-assembly lines have been added for the cab, fuel cells, and power batteries as well as the chassis. Advanced equipment such as AGV smart transport vehicles, glass-gluing robots, and electric assembly tools have been introduced, while production workstations have been optimized and reconfigured. Multiple new quality-inspection checkpoints have also been established, resulting in a dual improvement in both production efficiency and manufacturing quality. Upon completion of the upgrade, the Xinchufeng final assembly workshop will have an annual production capacity exceeding 2,000 hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks, fully ensuring the large-scale delivery requirements of Hybot’s H49 model.
Public–private collaboration to drive the regional hydrogen energy industry’s upgrade.
At the ceremony, leaders from the Zengdu District Party Committee and District Government emphasized in their remarks that Xinchufeng, a key enterprise in Suizhou City, has steadily deepened its engagement in the hydrogen energy sector in recent years, achieving significant progress in technological innovation, product development, and industrial deployment. The commissioning of this upgraded production line marks not only a major milestone in the company’s growth but also an important achievement for Zengdu District in advancing the transformation and upgrading of its automotive industry and fostering new‑type productive forces.
The speech emphasized that we are currently at a critical juncture for the national strategic planning of the hydrogen energy industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. It expressed the hope that Xinchufeng will fully leverage its role as a leading enterprise in the hydrogen energy industrial chain, deeply engage in the development of national hydrogen energy demonstration city clusters, and drive the transformation and upgrading of the regional special-purpose vehicle industry. At the same time, by capitalizing on Hybot’s resource advantages, it will attract high-quality upstream and downstream enterprises to build a localized hydrogen energy industrial cluster. The District Party Committee and District Government will continue to provide comprehensive support through policies, projects, and industrial-chain infrastructure, advance the construction of the Hubei Hydrogen-Powered Commercial Vehicle Innovation Demonstration Center, and create a favorable environment for enterprises’ high-quality development.
Strategic deep cultivation, embracing large-scale delivery with premium quality.
In his subsequent remarks, Hybot Chairman Huang Zhaoqin reviewed the two companies’ joint journey: since the Hybot team joined Xin Chufeng in 2022, both sides have steadfastly focused on hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles, leveraging technological innovation and integrated industrial resources to comprehensively drive Xin Chufeng’s transformation into a new-energy smart manufacturing enterprise. This production-line upgrade is a significant outcome of their strategic collaboration.
Huang Zhaoqin stated that Hybot’s H49 hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck has now completed rigorous validation, with a hydrogen consumption as low as 7.1 kilograms per 100 kilometers, placing it at the forefront of the industry. As the country’s Phase II hydrogen energy policies are accelerated, Xinchufeng’s specialized hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck production line will further support Hybot’s H49 in future market promotion and large-scale deliveries. He added that, going forward, Hybot will continue to increase industrial investment, refine its manufacturing system and industrial ecosystem, and strive to establish Xinchufeng as a leading domestic manufacturing base for hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles and a showcase for the hydrogen energy industry, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of Suizhou’s automotive sector.
Standing at a new starting point marked by the rapid development of the hydrogen energy industry, the upgrade and commissioning of Hybot’s H49 hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck production line represents a pivotal step in Hybot’s deep commitment to the commercial‑vehicle hydrogen sector and its efforts to strengthen industrialization capabilities. Looking ahead, Hybot will continue to leverage its dual strengths in technological R&D and intelligent manufacturing, further refining its end-to-end system for hydrogen‑powered vehicle R&D, production, and delivery. With superior products and enhanced production capacity, Hybot aims to accelerate the commercialization of hydrogen‑powered commercial vehicles, contributing through concrete actions to the nation’s “dual carbon” goals and embarking on a green future together with the industry.
