Right at the start of the year, great news has arrived!
On January 8, at the “Commercial Vehicle Technology Conference and the 4th China Commercial Vehicle Black Tech Competition Awards Ceremony” held in Beijing, Hybot won the "Energy-Saving Technology Innovation Award" for its project "Energy Consumption Control and Energy-Saving Innovative R&D and Application for Hydrogen-Fueled Commercial Vehicles." It has become one of the most closely watched technological highlights of this competition.
This conference is organized by Commercial Vehicle Network and is themed “Technology is Cool, the Future is Beautiful.” It brings together industry experts, vehicle manufacturers and core component suppliers, mainstream media, and supply-chain partners to jointly explore China’s achievements in commercial vehicle technology innovation and future development trends.
Positive development, systemic breakthrough: Setting a new benchmark for native hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks.
During the keynote speech session of the conference, Hu Jingjing, Deputy Director of Hybot’s Vehicle Research Institute, was invited to share "Exploration and Practice of Hybot’s Hydrogen Fuel Cell Heavy-Duty Truck H49 in Heavy-Load and Long-Range Scenarios."
He pointed out that the H49 differs from conventional “oil-to-hydrogen” vehicles—it is a native hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck platform developed entirely from scratch based on a brand-new, forward-looking design philosophy. By integrating a hydrogen-electricity hybrid architecture, it deeply combines features such as an ultra-low-drag, lightweight cab, a highly integrated thermal management system, an 800V silicon carbide distributed drive system, and an intelligent energy management system. In real-world testing, the H49 achieved a hydrogen consumption as low as 7.1 kg per 100 kilometers, and in specific trunk-line logistics scenarios, it has already demonstrated initial economic viability as a replacement for diesel-powered heavy trucks.
From technological implementation to commercial validation: driving the development of a hydrogen-powered logistics ecosystem.
Currently, the Hybot H49 has been put into commercial operation on trunk-line logistics routes for leading customers such as IKEA and JD Logistics. Through real-world operational data, the product’s comprehensive performance in terms of reliability, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency has been continuously validated, providing a practical model for transitioning hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks from demonstration applications to large-scale commercial deployment.
As hydrogen energy infrastructure continues to improve and costs across the industrial chain keep optimizing, Hybot will build on its H49 platform to further expand into more heavy-duty and trunk-line logistics application scenarios. Together with ecosystem partners, we will jointly create a clean, efficient, and intelligent hydrogen-powered transportation system, injecting sustained momentum into the green transformation and high-quality development of China's commercial vehicle industry.
